- We may telephone you before your appointment – the very young, and people over 70 may want to consider staying away from hospitals in the current pandemic.
- We will endeavour to do telephone consultations with you to discuss results and treatments if required, in an effort to minimise the need for you to leave your home.
- Our breast care nursing team are available to offer support and advice on the phone during this difficult time.
- Our staff will wear protective clothing to protect you and themselves during your consultation.
- In line with national policy, we are unable, at present, to undertake any breast reconstruction. We are, however, one of the UK’s leading breast reconstruction services, and we plan to re-start the service as soon as it is safe so to do.
- Please do not come to out unit if you are suffering from signs that might be related to COVID-19 – fever, cough, upper respiratory symptoms etc. Instead please dial 111.
